The Sidney Street Market is set to return to Beacon Avenue in Sidney, British Columbia, for its 2026 summer season beginning Thursday, June 4. The market will operate every Thursday evening from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. through September 10.
Operated by Kaemac Services, the event is recognized as the largest outdoor market on Vancouver Island, drawing between 3,000 and 5,000 visitors each week. Attendees can browse more than 150 vendors offering locally grown produce, handmade artisan jewellery, clothing, soaps, home-made foods, and goods from regional vineyards, breweries, and distilleries.
The Sidney Museum will participate in the weekly festivities by hosting an interactive table outside its location in front of the Olde Post Office Building, situated between Fourth and Fifth Streets. Visitors can stop by to explore museum information, use a button maker, and browse gift shop items at the museum’s display.
To support attendees arriving by bicycle, the Town of Sidney is partnering with Capital Bike to provide a free, secure bike valet service. The valet station is located at 9813 Fourth Street and will be available during all market hours throughout the summer.
Organizers are currently recruiting volunteers to assist with market operations. Volunteers who sign up for shifts, which run from 3:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., will receive a free dinner from an on-site food truck as part of their service.
