The Waterloo Regional Police Service is asking for the public’s help to identify a person of interest following a commercial break-and-enter in Cambridge.
The incident took place between 1:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. on May 3, 2026, at a business located on Water Street North near Park Hill Road East. According to police, the individual gained entry to the building and removed property.
To assist with the investigation, identified by occurrence number WA26064152, officers have released a surveillance image of a person they wish to speak with. Anyone with information regarding the individual or the incident is encouraged to contact the police at 519-570-9777, extension 2299. Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
This request for information follows other recent efforts by the police to address break-and-enter activity in the community. In April 2026, investigators were able to locate and charge a 36-year-old man in connection to a series of residential break-ins in North Galt shortly after releasing images of a person of interest. Additionally, the Break and Enter, Auto Theft, and Robbery Unit successfully charged three individuals earlier this year following an investigation into multiple incidents targeting shops across Southwestern Ontario.
