The Brockville & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting a live country music event on May 28, 2026, to raise funds for the Brockville and Area Food Bank. The concert, featuring the high-energy country act Fireball, will take place at Keystorm Pub in Brockville, Ontario, and community members must pre-register to attend.
The fundraiser arrives as the city continues to face a significant food insecurity crisis. In June 2025, city council officially declared an emergency regarding local food access after the food bank reported 21,537 visits in 2024. Data shows that the need continues to climb, with officials projecting that the number of annual visits will exceed the city’s total population of 22,293. According to the food bank, approximately one in 13 area residents now relies on their services for support.
General Manager Amanda Petch has noted that the food bank provides assistance to people across the region, including in Brockville, Lyn, Mallorytown, and North Augusta. Across the broader Leeds, Grenville and Lanark area, public health data estimates that one in seven households are currently food insecure.
The event is part of the chamber’s ongoing efforts to support social causes in the community. Executive Director Pam Robertson has led the organization since September 2015, representing hundreds of local businesses.
