The Mount Pearl Minor Hockey Association is hosting its annual general meeting on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to discuss the future of the organization and welcome new leadership. The meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m. in the Glacier 1 Lounge at the Glacier Arena, located at 45 Olympic Drive in Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Members of the association have acclaimed several new board members through the acclamation process. Jacqueline Murphy will serve as Vice President, Mandy Jones as Secretary, Crista Ivany as Director of Female Hockey, Cheryl Sturge as U15/U18 Director, and Patrick Browne as U9 Director. These candidates were appointed without opposition as per the organization’s bylaws.
While most positions are now filled, the role of Special Events Director remains vacant. The association plans to accept nominations for this position directly from the floor during the meeting. The Mount Pearl Minor Hockey Association, which is a member of Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador and the Mount Pearl Sport Alliance, encourages all interested members to participate in the process.
To attend and vote at the annual meeting, members must register in advance. Registration must be completed through the online form provided by the association no later than 12 noon on the day of the event.
