The City of Mount Pearl is inviting food trucks, coffee carts, and other mobile food businesses to set up shop in the community for the 2026 summer season. The call for vendors, announced on May 20, 2026, aims to expand dining options for residents and visitors at two popular local sites.
Business owners can apply for spots at the Power’s Pond boat house area on Clyde Avenue or at the parking lot of the Mount Pearl Summit Centre on Smallwood Drive. This year’s season runs from May 20 through October 20, 2026, extending the duration of the program beyond the 2025 pilot season.
To support operations, the city is providing selected vendors with access to washroom facilities and electricity. The electrical connections at both sites are being installed through Newfoundland Power.
Applicants are required to maintain a schedule of at least 30 hours per week, including a minimum of 14 hours during the weekend. The city is also asking that vendors provide price-sensitive menu options to ensure affordability for the community.
