The Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne is accepting applications for a new full-time Planning and Development Officer to oversee land use and building projects in the area. The job posting, which RM of Ste. Anne made available through the employment opportunity notice, comes as the municipality continues updating its zoning rules and managing growth south of Winnipeg.
The position carries a salary range of $65,502 to $82,355, depending on experience and qualifications. Interested candidates have until Monday, June 8, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. to apply, though the municipality says applications will be accepted until someone is hired.
The new officer will serve on the administrative leadership team managing the Planning and Development Department, processing applications for zoning changes, subdivisions, and building permits under Manitoba’s Planning Act. Day-to-day work includes drafting development agreements, coordinating with engineers and legal teams, and advising the chief administrative officer and council on proposals. The role also involves enforcing municipal standards and supervising administrative staff.
Applicants familiar with the Planning Act, Municipal Act, and Building Codes are preferred, as well as those with municipal planning training or membership in the Manitoba Professional Planners Institute. Bilingual English and French skills are considered an asset, reflecting the municipality’s officially bilingual status.
Shelley Jensen, the CAO who joined the RM in 2024 from the Manitoba Municipal Board, is accepting applications at [email protected]. The job is based at the municipal office at 395 Traverse Road in Ste. Anne, Manitoba.
