Families and fitness fans can slip, slide, and splash their way through a 5-kilometre foam-filled obstacle course when the 5K Foam Fest returns to Leduc’s William F. Lede Park on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Organizers describe the event as a fun run featuring more than 25 obstacles, including the world’s largest inflatable waterslide, mud pits, and 2.5 million cubic feet of foam. Participants can walk, jog, or run at their own speed, and every obstacle is optional. Waves start at 8 a.m. and continue every 15 minutes until 2 p.m.
Registration costs $89.99 during early bird pricing, down from the full price of $139.99, plus local taxes and fees. Family passes are available for $84.99 per person with a minimum of four participants, and military and first responder discounts are offered at $94.68. Each runner receives a string bag, a 5K Foam Buff, a finisher medal, a festival wristband, a temporary tattoo, a low-resolution finish photo, and access to water stations, a shower station, change rooms, and a free kids’ zone.
The event is open to anyone aged seven and up. Children between seven and 12 must run with a registered adult, while kids six and under can use a free Kids Fun Zone. Spectators get free entry to the festival area, food vendors, and a licensed beer garden. A live DJ, merchandise tent, and Sky Fall attraction round out the on-site entertainment. All proceeds from participant fundraising and a $5 gear-check donation go to Make-A-Wish Canada.
No parking is available at William F. Lede Park. Organizers will shuttle participants from off-site parking at RAD Torque Raceway, 50342 Range Road 253, Edmonton International Airport, with buses running all day. More details and registration are on the 5K Foam Fest website.
