Music lovers can mark their calendars for a free outdoor concert by the water in Amherstburg, Ontario. The Park House Museum is holding its next Music Off the Back Porch event on Friday, July 10, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The concert takes place adjacent to the museum’s back porch, overlooking the Detroit River at 214 Dalhousie Street. Local musicians will perform while attendees relax on the lawn. People are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets to enjoy the evening.
There is no charge to attend, but donations are welcomed to support the non-profit museum. The concerts happen every month on the second Friday evening during the summer. After July 10, the next one is scheduled for August 7, also from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Park House Museum is operated by the Amherstburg Historic Sites Association and is located in one of the oldest houses in the region. Originally built in the late 1700s near Detroit, Michigan, the log house was taken apart and moved in 1798, then reconstructed in Amherstburg in 1799. It was named a National Historic Site of Canada in 2018.
