Georgetown Summer Days returns to Three Rivers, PEI from July 15 to 19 with five days of family-friendly events spread across the community. The festival, now in its sixth decade, offers everything from a children’s show and shine to professional wrestling and a chocolate chip cookie bake-off.
The schedule kicks off Wednesday evening with a car rally starting from the Holland College parking lot, along with a children’s show and shine at the Three Rivers Sportsplex. Thursday features a strawberry social at Veterans Landing Park on West Street Beach from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the Lynne Guignard Memorial Summer Days Parade makes its way through the streets of Georgetown, followed by a family carnival at Veterans Landing. The parade honors Lynne Guignard, a devoted community volunteer who passed away in May 2024. The weekend wraps up Sunday with the Grand Finale, and at 2:00 p.m., Red Rock Wrestling, a PEI-based professional wrestling company, takes over the Three Rivers Sportsplex for a high-energy show.
The Grand Finale on Sunday evening includes a Chocolate Chip Cookie Contest where bakers compete for the title of Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Baker in Three Rivers. The festival closes with a fireworks display at Veterans Landing Park.
Organized by the Town of Three Rivers, the festival has drawn thousands to the Georgetown area for more than 50 years. Venues this year also include Kings Playhouse, Canada’s longest-running theatre, which dates to 1898 and remains a cultural hub in the community.
