Families in Almonte, Ontario, can now download the 2026-2027 school year calendar for Almonte District High School and all schools in the Upper Canada District School Board. The calendar, approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education in March 2026, is available on the board’s website and helps parents plan ahead for the next academic year.
Students at Almonte District High School will head back to class on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The school year ends for students on Friday, June 25, 2027, with an administrative final day on Monday, June 28, 2027.
Key breaks during the year include winter break from Monday, December 21, 2026 through Friday, January 1, 2027, and March Break from Monday, March 15 through Friday, March 19, 2027. Seven Professional Activity (PA) Days are scattered throughout the year, when students stay home while staff take part in development. Those dates are: Tuesday, September 1, 2026; Monday, October 26, 2026; Friday, November 27, 2026; Friday, January 29, 2027; Friday, April 23, 2027; Friday, May 28, 2027; and Monday, June 28, 2027.
Almonte District High School, located at 126 Martin Street North, serves students in Grades 7 through 12 and is part of the Upper Canada District School Board. The board oversees 77 schools and about 27,900 students across eastern Ontario.
