Mississippi Mills, Ontario is waking up to a warm and mainly sunny Monday, but residents should get outside and enjoy it while it lasts, as wet weather is on the way by Tuesday. According to the Weather Network, the area will see a high of 26°C with a comfortable low of 17°C tonight and no active weather alerts. It is the perfect day for hitting the beach, paddling the river, or visiting the splash pad.
The weather takes a turn on Tuesday, with increasing cloud cover and an 80 per cent chance of thunderstorms. Around 5 mm of rain is expected during the afternoon, with additional showers possible in the evening. The high will drop to 23°C before falling to an overnight low of 16°C. Cloudy conditions and a 40 per cent chance of showers continue into Wednesday, with temperatures only reaching the high teens.
Things clear up again later in the week. Thursday will be sunny with a high of 24°C, and Friday and Saturday return to mainly sunny skies and highs of 26°C to 27°C. Sunday clouds over again with a 40 per cent chance of afternoon showers.
The unsettled stretch is in line with what The Weather Network predicted for Ontario this summer. Meteorologists described the season as “noncommittal and inconsistent,” with warm spells frequently interrupted by showers and thunderstorms.
On the water side, the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority confirms the Mississippi River watershed has recovered from the dry conditions that led to a low water advisory in August 2025. Rainfall and streamflows are back to normal as of January, so Monday’s paddleboarders and kayakers can expect healthy water levels for now.
