The Almonte Craft Beer Fest returns to the grounds of Old Town Hall at 14 Bridge Street in Almonte, Ontario this Friday, July 24, from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The 19-and-over outdoor festival, now in its third year, is a chance to sample beverages from nine local craft producers while enjoying food and live music along the Mississippi River.
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills coordinates the event, which runs rain or shine. Tickets cost $20 plus HST and fees and are available through Tickets Please.
Seven breweries, one distillery, and one winery make up the nine local alcohol producers, while a new non-alcoholic vendor called The Sip Stand will also pour drinks. Among the participants are Almonte’s own Base Camp Brewing Company, VODKOW Dairy Distillery which makes spirits from milk sugar, Farmgate Cider from near Arnprior, and Cartwright Springs Brewery from Pakenham.
Food will be served by the Almonte Butcher Shop, Nicky T’s food truck with poutine and pulled pork, and Hummingbird Chocolate Maker, the award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate shop that expanded its facility in 2024.
Live music starts with Jones-Finn, featuring Juno Award winners Jeff Jones and Gerry Finn, who have played with Burton Cummings and Tom Cochrane. Headliner Sussex, a five-piece party band from Ottawa, takes the stage to close the night.
