Mount Pearl residents can start planning their swim routines as the Summit Centre has released its fall pool schedule, running from September 8 through December 19, 2026. The 25,000-square-foot aquatics complex reopened July 6 after its yearly maintenance closure, and the new schedule offers a wide variety of drop-in and registered sessions for all ages and interests.
The schedule features ten different swim types, including lane swims, family swims, public swims, parent and tot swims, and adult leisure swims. Fitness-focused options include Aqua Fit, Gentle Aqua Fit, Deep Water Fitness, and Aqua Zumba. Sensory-friendly swims remain the only sessions that require pre-registration. Everything else is drop-in, with no bookings needed.
Drop-in rates are $5 for adults, $4 for adults 50 and older, and $4 for children and youth. Multi-visit passes for 10 or 20 visits are also available for those planning to swim regularly.
The City of Mount Pearl continues to offer free, dedicated swim times through the RISE Program, a community-driven initiative run in partnership with the nonprofit ElevateHER. Women and girls can swim Thursdays from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., while a 2SLGBTQIA+ community swim takes place Tuesdays at the same time. Both sessions have a 75-person capacity and feature privacy screens.
The Summit Centre’s aquatics complex includes a main pool, leisure pool, splash pad, and waterslide. The facility opened to the public in November 2014 and has since been a hub for everything from casual family outings to competitive swimming clubs.
