Milton, Ontario residents can score great deals on books and support local library programs this summer as the Milton Public Library hosts its annual book sale, running from late July into August 2026. The event at the Main Library, located at 1010 Main Street East, will feature a huge selection of pre-loved titles with thousands of items priced as low as $1.
Shoppers can browse over 9,000 titles including fiction, non-fiction, and children’s books, plus DVDs, audiobooks and other media. Books are priced at $2 each, while audio-visual items like DVDs and CDs cost just $1. Special bundle deals are also available: shoppers can fill a box for $10 or an MPL tote bag for $15.
Proceeds from the sale help fund essential library programs and services. The money raised goes toward early literacy initiatives, technology workshops, cultural events and newcomer services that benefit the whole community.
The library is a cornerstone of the community, having served Milton since 1855. Sarah Douglas-Murray, CEO and Chief Librarian, leads the organization in its mission to inspire learning and connection. The annual book sale is just one of many ways the library brings residents together.
