The 174th Owen Sound Fall Fair returns to Victoria Park from September 10 to 12, 2026, bringing three days of livestock shows, track events, and family fun to the city. Organized by the Owen Sound Agricultural Society, the fair is one of Grey County’s oldest agricultural traditions, dating back to 1852.
This year’s event features a packed lineup, including beef, dairy, sheep, poultry, and horse shows, along with the Grey County 4-H Showdown. Hundreds of young people from across the county will compete in events that serve as qualifiers for the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. Track events like truck and tractor pulls and a demolition derby are also on the schedule.
For families, there will be Old MacDonald’s Farm, a baby show, homecraft competitions, and midway rides. Vendors and food trucks will be on site throughout the fair. The event draws thousands of visitors, with 2025 attendance returning to pre-pandemic levels — the first time since 2019 that the fair featured a full three-day schedule with a midway.
The fair continues to recover from a fire on May 7, 2024, that damaged about a third of the Victoria Park grandstand and caused an estimated $750,000 in damage. President Kevin Reid and the society’s board, supported by well over 100 volunteers, have worked to rebuild and keep the community tradition alive.
