Lakeland College’s Vermilion Campus will welcome residents to TD Tree Days on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The volunteer event invites the public to help plant native trees and shrubs on campus grounds.
TD Tree Days is run by TD Friends of the Environment Foundation. The program has supported volunteers in planting more than 550,000 trees and shrubs across Canada and the United States since 2010.
The event adds a new community gathering to the college’s fall calendar after Feast on the Farm, its summer fundraiser, wrapped up in August. Feast on the Farm has raised more than $430,000 for student-led learning since 2016.
Parking and check-in will be at the Emergency Training Facility on campus. Directional signage will guide volunteers to the planting site. People can register online through the TD Tree Days website.
The Vermilion Campus is known for its outdoor learning spaces, including an arboretum and mature trees. The college says the tree-planting day fits its focus on environmental sustainability.
