Residents of Milton, Ontario, who have dreamed of performing live on the Mattamy Theatre stage can audition for Milton Sings on October 4, 2026. The event offers community members the chance to sing alongside a professional rock band as part of the annual competition run by Can You Sing Canada.
The FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton is hosting the auditions, which are now open to anyone who thinks they have what it takes to be a rockstar. Successful singers will earn a spot to perform live with a backing band made up of industry veterans who have shared stages with artists like Burton Cummings, Big Wreck, and Moist.
Milton Sings is part of Can You Sing Canada’s seventh year of touring showcases, which give amateur performers a rare chance to play a professional venue. The Can You Sing Canada program has built a reputation for pairing local talent with seasoned musicians, and the Milton stop will put winners on the 500-seat Mattamy Theatre stage.
The audition announcement comes as the venue rolls out its 2026-27 season. Other upcoming shows include a Pitch Perfect sing-along with Deke Sharon on October 22, a Psychology of Cults presentation on October 23, and Canadian magician Chris Funk on October 25. Tickets for those events are already on sale, with prices ranging from $49 to $53.
Auditions for Milton Sings take place on October 4, 2026, at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton, located at 1010 Main Street East. Residents interested in performing can sign up through the arts centre or Can You Sing Canada for their chance at the spotlight.
