A Fall Job Fair is coming to High River, giving residents a chance to meet directly with employers and explore job opportunities in the area. The High River & District Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event on Thursday, November 19, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Heritage Inn & Convention Centre, located at 1104 11 Avenue Southeast.
The job fair begins with a session for employers at 11 a.m., which includes lunch and informational panels. The public portion opens at 1 p.m., when job seekers can connect with businesses looking to hire. The event is organized in partnership with MCG Careers, a local employment service provider that has operated in High River since 1989, and is supported by the Alberta Chambers of Commerce and the governments of Alberta and Canada.
This job fair is part of a provincial effort to connect employers with workers as Alberta’s labour market strengthens. According to recent data, the province’s unemployment rate was 7.0% in July 2026, while employment grew by 3.5% year-over-year, adding 91,000 jobs.
