The Town of Amherstburg has closed a section of Front Road North (County Road 20) for emergency infrastructure maintenance, impacting a key rural route for local residents. The road is closed between Thrasher Drive and North Sideroad from May 4 to May 6, 2026, to allow for sanitary and watermain work.
Managed by the town’s Infrastructure Services Department, the project requires the route to be blocked for three days. While through-traffic will need to navigate around the construction, the town has confirmed that local residents will maintain access to their driveways throughout the duration of the work.
