Residents and visitors in Amherstburg, Ontario, will have the chance to see the local waterfront from the river this summer as sightseeing cruises return to the community. According to Visit Amherstburg, the two-hour boat tours are set for July 9, 2026, and August 20, 2026.
The tours are operated by Windsor Premier Cruises using the Macassa Bay vessel. Each trip departs from the Murray Street entrance of Kings Navy Yard Park, with boarding starting at 1:00 PM and the boat leaving the dock at 1:30 PM.
Passengers on the narrated cruise will see Boblo Island, the Livingston Channel, and the mouth of Lake Erie. The tour highlights local history, including the region’s connection to the Underground Railroad and the historic waterfront area.
Tickets for the summer outings are priced at $49.99 for adults and $34.99 for children between the ages of 4 and 12. The vessel is accessible to all ages and includes a full bar service for those on board.
These mid-week cruises are expected to bring more people to the downtown area on Thursdays during the summer months. Local officials expect the extra visitors will support nearby shops and restaurants while the boat is in town.
