The Town of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, is adding two new heavy-duty vehicles to its public works fleet to improve road maintenance and community services. The municipal government is looking to purchase these trucks to ensure that local crews have reliable equipment for clearing snow and maintaining streets throughout the year.
The town is currently seeking bids for a 2500 series pickup truck to assist with daily technical tasks. This vehicle will be a four-door, four-wheel-drive model, and businesses interested in supplying the truck have until March 19, 2026, to submit their offers.
A second purchase is also underway for a single axle dump truck, with a deadline for submissions on March 26, 2026. This truck will come equipped with a snow plow and a specialized spreader for sand and salt to help keep local roads safe during winter weather.
These equipment upgrades are part of the town’s effort to maintain high service standards for all residents. Sean Elms, the Director of Public Works and Technical Services for the town, is the primary contact for the purchase process of both vehicles.
