Residents of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, can look forward to a stretch of warmer, sunny weather starting Tuesday, April 28, 2026, as a new weather system moves into the region.
Environment Canada forecasts daily highs reaching 8°C on Tuesday and 9°C on Wednesday, followed by 7°C on Thursday. This shift follows a blustery Monday that saw wind gusts reaching 63 km/h and a cold wind chill of -10°C, a lingering reminder of the unsettled spring weather that has affected the Avalon Peninsula throughout the month.
The upcoming mid-week conditions mark a return to typical temperatures for this time of year in the community, where the seasonal average high is 8°C. These drier, sunnier days arrive after a recent snowstorm on April 24-25 that brought 15-20 cm of accumulation to the area.
Marine conditions are also expected to improve alongside the warming trend. While an ice pressure warning remains in effect for the Northeast Coast, winds are expected to become light and variable by Wednesday.
