Registration is now open for the 6th annual Gord Brown Memorial Golf Tournament, which will take place on August 13, 2026, at the Smugglers Glen Golf Course in Lansdowne, Ontario, to support the United Way Leeds & Grenville and the YMCA of Eastern Ontario.
The event serves as a tribute to the late Gord Brown, who represented the region as a Member of Parliament from 2004 until his passing in 2018. Jeff Brown, the late parliamentarian’s brother, and Chance Brown, his son, are serving as the honorary co-chairs for this year’s event. The tournament continues a tradition of community giving, as the first five iterations of the golf event have generated more than $900,000 to assist with local needs.
The tournament day will begin with registration at 10:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:00 p.m. and dinner after the play concludes. Participation costs are set at $900 for a foursome, $450 for a twosome, or $200 per team, with dinner-only tickets available for $75 per person. Organizers noted that a limited number of foursomes are set aside specifically for sponsorship packages, which provide VIP access and marketing opportunities.
Proceeds from the tournament support various local programs managed by the organizers, with the United Way Leeds & Grenville office based at 42 George Street in Brockville.
