Community groups and non-profits in Brockville, Ontario, can now apply for funding through the 2026 Brockville Legacy Fund to help pay for local cultural and recreational projects. The grant program opened on March 11, 2026, and has approximately $9,000 in total funding available for this year. These funds are intended for capital projects that improve the community, such as heritage sites or local infrastructure.
The Brockville Community Foundation manages the fund’s assets on behalf of the City of Brockville. An allocation committee made up of two members of city council and the two most recent Citizens of the Year will review applications and select which projects receive money.
This initiative started in 2009 with an initial investment of $200,000 to provide long-term support for the city. Past projects that have received help from this fund include the restoration of waterfront plaques and the Brockville Railway Tunnel.
Local organizations have until Friday, April 24, 2026, at 4:00 pm to submit their applications. Groups can use the grant money to improve public spaces or preserve local history for residents.
