Three new businesses have been added to the City of Brockville’s Proudly Made in Brockville program, giving downtown shoppers fresh local alternatives in wellness, children’s goods, and fashion. The Economic Development Department announced on Friday, July 10, 2026 that Wychwood Naturals, Luella Charlotte Baby Boutique, and The Unapologetic Femme are now part of the buy-local initiative.
The program, launched in May 2026 with the Brockville Museum, provides free stickers to businesses making consumer-ready products so shoppers can easily spot items made right here in the city. Storefronts that carry local goods also receive shelf displays and window decals.
Wychwood Naturals produces small-batch skincare and wellness items using homegrown herbs, foraged botanicals, and Canadian oils and waxes, with a focus on natural ingredients and earth-friendly packaging. The lineup includes salves, lip balms, soaps, muscle rubs, and shower steamers, available at Cover to Cover bookstore downtown.
Luella Charlotte Baby Boutique at 11 King Street West offers carefully chosen baby and children’s clothing, toys, accessories, and gifts. The shop also carries locally made bath bombs and provides in-house embroidery. Founder Sarah McGuire opened the boutique in 2022 after struggling to find ethically made baby goods close to home.
The Unapologetic Femme at 37 Perth Street is the city’s first dedicated plus-size fashion boutique. It sells stylish, confidence-boosting apparel for plus-size women, blending new inclusive-size brands with thrifted vintage pieces and upcycled one-of-a-kind garments.
The additions reflect ongoing growth in Brockville’s small-business community, supported by the Downtown Brockville BIA, which represents more than 250 local businesses from Clarissa Street to Park Street and James Street to the St. Lawrence River.
