Environment Canada says Colwood residents can look forward to a stretch of sunny weather this week, once Tuesday morning’s showers move through. The forecast, issued at 5:00 a.m. on July 28, 2026, calls for rain ending by afternoon and then clearing skies.
Tuesday will start out cloudy with showers, but those are expected to taper off this afternoon. After that, sunshine will take over, with a daytime high of 21 C. The UV index will be moderate at 3, so no extreme sun precautions are needed yet. By Wednesday, however, that changes: the UV index jumps to high at 7 under a mix of sun and cloud, and the temperature stays at 21 C.
Thursday and Friday look to be the best days for outdoor plans. Both days are forecast to be sunny, with Thursday reaching 21 C and Friday climbing to a warm 23 C. That is just slightly above the normal high of 22 C for late July, which is also Colwood’s driest month, averaging only 16 mm of rain.
Morning conditions at the Victoria Harbour station showed mostly cloudy skies, 14.8 C, and 91 per cent humidity, with an east-southeast wind at 13 km/h as of 7:00 a.m. Tuesday. The forecast notes that areas closer to the Juan de Fuca Strait could see stronger winds, up to 40 km/h, compared to inland parts of the city.
Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will bring periods of rain and a high of 21 C, but Sunday clears up again with a mix of sun and cloud and another 21 C high. For those planning activities, packing an umbrella Tuesday morning is a good idea, but the rest of the week should offer plenty of sunshine.
