The Leduc Arts Foundry has issued an open call for Indigenous artists to submit their work for an upcoming exhibition that will celebrate diverse voices, stories, and creative practices.
Artists interested in participating have until May 25, 2026, to submit their work. The exhibition is set to run from June 15 to July 30, 2026. Selected pieces will be featured in the organization’s main gallery at the Leduc Recreation Centre. Following the main exhibition, a curated selection of works will move to satellite displays at the Leduc Public Library and the Leduc Civic Centre throughout August.
This initiative is part of the non-profit organization’s commitment to reconciliation efforts and cultural diversity. Beyond the exhibition, selected artists may also be considered for inclusion in the ArtWorks Boutique, where local creatives can sell handmade items and artwork to the public year-round.
First opening its doors in 2016, the Leduc Arts Foundry has grown into a community hub that supports local art groups and hosts numerous workshops. The facility, which receives funding support from the Alberta Foundation for the Arts and the City of Leduc, continues to see high engagement, with 8,000 visitors to its main gallery reported in 2025.
