The Community Foundation of Halton North is set to host its annual Showcase event on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, where it will announce the recipients of this year’s community grants. The free event, taking place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Piper’s Heath Golf Club in Milton, Ontario, offers residents a chance to learn which local charities serving Milton and Halton Hills will receive funding from the foundation’s legacy donors.
The foundation has been supporting local non-profit organizations since 2015. With a current endowment of nearly $6.2 million, the organization has distributed more than $1.5 million in grants throughout its history to help address funding needs across the region.
The upcoming showcase will be one of the first major community events led by Darryl Demille, who took over as Board Chair in December 2025. Demille, a recently retired certified financial planner who has lived in Milton for over 30 years, succeeded longtime board leader G. Brad Clements. The foundation’s board also includes the Honourable Lisa Raitt, a former member of Parliament for Milton and a 2026 inductee to the Milton Walk of Fame.
Residents who cannot attend the gathering at the golf course, located at 5501 Trafalgar Road, can view the official list of 2026 grant recipients on the foundation’s website following the event. These grants build on the foundation’s past work, which in 2025 supported various local groups including Arthouse for Children & Youth, Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Distress Centre of Halton, Halton Food for Thought, the Milton Historical Society, and SAVIS of Halton.
