The Town of Milton and the Milton Youth Task Force are inviting young residents to participate in a series of events during National Youth Week, which runs from May 1 to May 7, 2026. This annual initiative recognizes the contributions of youth aged 13 to 24 to the community.
A variety of activities are planned throughout the week, starting with a Youth PA Day Hack-a-thon on April 24 at the Milton Library Main Branch. This event requires pre-registration for participants.
The town is also highlighting the 2026 Milton Youth Awards, which recognize students from grade 7 to 12. While the nomination period for these awards is now closed, residents are encouraged to follow the social media channels of the town and the youth task force for upcoming announcements regarding the recipients.
Milton, which has been recognized as a Gold Level Youth Friendly Community by Play Works Ontario, continues to support local youth through partnerships with groups like the Milton Youth Friendly Network, Mattamy Homes, and the Fine Arts Society of Milton.
