The Milton Public Library is hosting its third annual Tea Fest on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Sherwood Community Centre in Milton, Ontario. Running from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the free community event features more than 30 vendors offering specialty teas and accessories, alongside various workshops and demonstrations.
The festival includes cultural programming such as Japanese, Chinese, and Vietnamese tea ceremonies, as well as kimono demonstrations, teacup painting, tea leaf reading, and a honey tasting. The library timed this year’s event to coincide with Asian Heritage Month, South Asian Heritage Month, and the lead-up to Mother’s Day.
Natalie Haid, the manager of the Sherwood Library Branch and the event organizer, initiated the festival after seeing significant community interest in tea-related programming. The event has grown into a signature offering for the branch, which is located within the shared community centre facility.
Admission to the festival is free, though attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations for Food for Life. The organization is a major food rescue hub serving the Halton and Hamilton regions.
