Milton Hydro is asking local residents and small business owners in Milton, Ontario, to share their thoughts on how the community’s electricity system should be managed over the next few years. The utility sent out email invitations on Monday, March 23, 2026, to gather feedback for its upcoming 2028-2032 investment plan.
The online survey is confidential and takes about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. Customers who finish the questionnaire can enter a draw to win one of four $250 Amazon gift cards. Approximately 44,000 local customers are being invited to participate to help the utility decide where to focus its spending on power lines and equipment.
Residents who did not receive an invitation are encouraged to check their email junk folders or contact the utility directly at (905) 876-4611. This feedback is a key part of the process required by the Ontario Energy Board, which oversees how local power companies set their rates and plan for the future.
Planning for reliable electricity is a priority as the Town of Milton continues to be one of the fastest-growing areas in the country. Local officials expect the population to reach 335,000 people by 2051, which will put more demand on the existing power grid.
