The Town of Milton is inviting residents to help clean up the community this spring as part of its annual Earth Day initiative. From April 18 to May 18, 2026, volunteers can pick up free cleanup kits at the Milton Sports Centre, located at 605 Santa Maria Blvd, during regular operating hours.
The kits are designed to assist residents in clearing litter from local areas and include gloves, garbage bags, and a map of the surrounding neighbourhood. This effort is part of a broader local focus on environmental stewardship as the community continues to grow.
In addition to these cleanup efforts, the Town of Milton is working with Sustainable Milton and Conservation Halton to plant hundreds of new trees and shrubs throughout the spring and fall. These plantings are in addition to roughly 650 trees already designated for local parks and streetscapes this year.
Residents looking to participate in a coordinated community cleanup can also attend Milton Good Neighbours Day. The event will take place on May 2, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m. Volunteers are asked to gather at the Milton Town Hall, located at 150 Mary Street, where they will be assigned cleanup sites and provided with necessary supplies.
