The Town of Milton is inviting residents to share their input on the town’s long-term strategy for managing rain and snowmelt at an upcoming public meeting. The event will take place on April 29, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nassagaweya Tennis Club, located at 9267 Guelph Line in Campbellville.
The Stormwater Master Plan is designed to evaluate how the town currently handles runoff and to identify areas that may be vulnerable to flooding or infrastructure strain. This planning process helps the town prepare for future growth and the impacts of a changing climate. The work follows a formal environmental review process, which will eventually include a 30-day public comment period on the findings.
During the April 29 meeting, residents will have the chance to review information boards and speak directly with project managers Rachel Ellerman from the town and Chris Denich from the consulting firm Aquafor Beech Limited. The project team has already completed extensive field studies, which looked at local ditches, culverts, drainage easements, and areas that have experienced past flooding.
For those unable to attend the session in person, the town has made the materials available online. Residents can review these documents and submit their feedback through an online survey on the Let’s Talk Milton platform before May 29, 2026.
This initiative is part of a broader commitment to infrastructure maintenance, following a year in which the town directed more than $49 million toward improvements for local roads, bridges, and stormwater systems. The current stage of the master plan, which involves the development and analysis of the strategy, is expected to continue through the end of 2026, with the final project completion anticipated in the winter of 2027.
