The Almonte District High School drama club is set to host its latest stage production, titled Shattered: Time in Pieces, at the Almonte Old Town Hall. Performances will take place from April 30 to May 2, 2026, with the curtain rising at 7:30 PM. Matinee performances are also scheduled for May 3 at 2:00 PM.
The play is a student-created production that follows four museum employees who discover an artifact capable of time travel. The characters embark on a journey through history and myth to recover the missing shards of a broken vase. The script was written by four returning student actors, with ideas contributed by the entire drama club in the spirit of collective creation.
Tickets for the event are $15 each. They can be purchased online, at the Almonte District High School main office, at Baker Bob’s, or at the door if they are not already sold out.
The drama program at the school is known for its success within the Cappies, an awards program for high school theatre. The students recently earned seven nominations and three awards for their 2025 production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and previously won the award for Critic’s Favorite Play in 2018 for their performance of The 39 Steps.
Located at 126 Martin Street North in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, the school operates under the Upper Canada District School Board. Founded in 1875, the school marked its 150th anniversary in October 2025.
