The Canadian Career Academy is hosting a spring job fair on March 26, 2026, to help residents of Mississippi Mills, Ontario, find local work and training opportunities.
The event will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Carleton Place Arena at 75 Neelin Street. According to the Mississippi Mills community events calendar, the fair is free to attend and will host dozens of employers ready to hire.
Attendees can speak directly with companies in the construction, manufacturing, and trucking industries. There is a specific push to fill more than 160 empty personal support worker roles currently available across Lanark and Renfrew counties.
The Pathway2PSW program will be on-site to explain how eligible people can get free tuition and coaching for healthcare jobs. Information will also be available for apprenticeships and other government-funded training through Employment Ontario.
The academy has provided free employment support to the region since 1986, serving people in Almonte, Carleton Place, and surrounding townships. This event is designed to give residents a chance to find a new career path in their own community without traveling to larger cities.
