The Mississippi Mills Youth Centre is hosting an Arcade Takeover event at the John Levi Community Centre in Almonte on May 8 and 9, 2026. Held in celebration of Youth Week, the event features a variety of gaming stations and food for local families and teenagers.
The event, located at 182 Bridge Street, offers daytime sessions for families, as well as evening sessions exclusively for teens aged 12 to 17. The Family Fun Arcade sessions are set for May 8 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and on May 9 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The After Dark Arcade, which includes tournament play for teens, will run both nights from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Entertainment for the event is provided by GamesToGo, an Ottawa-based mobile arcade company. Attendees can expect a range of activities, including classic arcade games, racing simulators, a full Rock Band setup, and a virtual reality station.
Tickets are $20 per person, which covers unlimited play and a slice of pizza and a drink provided by Mamma’s Place Restaurant & Pizzeria. Parents and guardians who are not participating in the games may enter for free. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult while attending the event.
