The City of Mount Pearl, Newfoundland and Labrador, is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Best in Mount Pearl Awards to recognize individuals and businesses that help the community. The awards program is designed to highlight the hard work of volunteers, local groups, and organizations that improve the quality of life for everyone in the area.
Residents can submit their nominations online through the official city website. The nomination period officially opened on March 13, 2026, and all entries must be sent in by the deadline on April 3, 2026.
This year’s awards cover several different areas, including community groups, music, arts, and culture. There are also categories for the environment, urban agriculture, and urban design, as well as a lifetime achievement award for long-term service to the city.
One of the most notable honours is the Richard Levandier Citizen of the Year award. This prize is named after a late resident who was well known for his volunteer work and is given to an individual who shows great dedication to helping their neighbours and the community of Mount Pearl.
