Residents of Rimbey, Alberta, can enjoy a free evening of live music on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Pas Ka Poo Park. The Music in the Park event starts at 5:00 p.m. at 5620 51 Street and features performances by Skip the Crickets at 7:00 p.m. and John Hewitt at 8:00 p.m.
This gathering is part of a summer series held on the last Friday of each month from May through September. The Rimbey Public Library organizes the event, offering families a casual outdoor concert experience by donation.
Pas Ka Poo Park is a nine-acre historical site run by the Rimbey Historical Society. It includes more than 15 museum buildings, such as Rimbey’s first church and school, a barber shop, a train station, and the world’s most complete collection of International half-ton trucks. The park’s name comes from a Cree term for the Blindman River, which flows through the valley.
The July 31 show follows the busy Rimbey Rodeo weekend and gives residents another chance to gather and hear local musicians. Organizers remind attendees to bring lawn chairs or blankets and to check the town’s events calendar for any updates.
