The Rotary Club of Sidney by the Sea and the Saanich Peninsula Community Foundation are co-hosting the 12th annual Lobsterfest+ on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Mary Winspear Centre in Sidney, British Columbia.
This signature community gala, which typically draws over 200 attendees, serves as one of the largest annual fundraising events in Sidney. Doors will open at 5.30 p.m. for cocktails and silent auction viewing, with dinner service starting at 7 p.m. Guests can choose from a menu featuring fresh Atlantic lobster, Vancouver Island crab, or prime rib. The evening will also include a live auction and music from local band The Haven.
Proceeds from this year’s event are set to support important local initiatives. The funds raised by the Rotary Club of Sidney by the Sea are earmarked for senior health and wellness programs across the Saanich Peninsula. The Saanich Peninsula Community Foundation will direct its portion of the proceeds toward various local charities focused on social services, health, arts, culture, education, conservation, and recreation.
The community gala has a history of successful fundraising, having raised over $25,000 for local programs in 2025, along with an additional $10,270 for the youth clinic at the Shoreline Medical Society.
