The Saanich Peninsula Piranhas Swim Club is now accepting registrations for its 2026 summer competitive season in North Saanich, British Columbia. The program, which runs at the Panorama Recreation Centre, provides local youth with structured training and racing opportunities throughout the summer months.
Families with new swimmers are required to complete a mandatory skill assessment before they can join the team. These evaluations, which are explained on the club website, help coaches place each child in the training group that best matches their current swimming ability.
Due to high local interest in the program, the club follows a priority-based system for enrollment. Detailed rules regarding how spots are filled are available in the organization’s registration policies.
The summer season is set to take place from May 1, 2026, to mid-August 2026, under the guidelines of the BC Summer Swimming Association. Swimmers will focus on improving their stroke techniques and building endurance while taking part in local competitions, culminating in regional and provincial championships.
All practices and team events will be hosted at the Panorama Recreation Centre. Parents and guardians can find more information or begin the sign-up process by visiting the Piranhas registration portal.
