The Via Choralis chamber choir is set to perform Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria in Sidney on Sunday, April 26, 2026. The concert will take place at 2:00 PM at St. Elizabeth’s Church, located at 10030 Third Street.
This special performance features the forty-voice choir accompanied by guest soloists and a string quartet. The work, composed around 1715, consists of 12 movements that showcase a wide range of musical styles. Although it is now considered one of the most famous pieces of the Baroque era, the composition remained largely unknown for nearly two centuries until its rediscovery in 1939.
The event is led by Artistic Director Grant Harville, who joined the group in 2025. Harville brings extensive experience to the role, having previously served as the music director for the Civic Orchestra of Victoria and the Victoria Harmony Choir, as well as an eight-year tenure leading the Great Falls Symphony.
