Families in St. Thomas, Ontario, can now secure spots for their children in the city’s nine-week summer day camp program. The sessions run from June 29 to August 28, 2026, offering a variety of activities for children aged 4 to 12.
The City of St. Thomas Parks, Recreation and Facilities Department is offering four types of camps: sports, arts and science, nature, and fishing. There is also a leader in training program available for older youth. Programming takes place at several local sites, including the Joe Thornton Community Centre at 75 Caso Crossing, Memorial Arena at 80 Wilson Avenue, Pinafore Park, and Waterworks Park.
Core camp hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Parents also have the option to purchase extended care from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. by calling 519-633-7112. The city maintains a staffing model of one leader for every eight to 12 children, and all staff are certified in the Principles of Healthy Child Development as part of the city’s status as a HIGH FIVE registered organization.
Registration for all programs is available online through the Univerus Recreation portal. While the city does not offer municipal subsidies, it works with Canadian Tire Jumpstart and KidSport Ontario to assist eligible families. Participants must enroll for full weeks, and all payments must be completed before a child’s first day of attendance.
