A 16-year-old was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after being assaulted by two men near Talbot and Moore streets in St. Thomas last week. The attack happened on Thursday, June 18, 2026, around 3:15 p.m., and the suspects got away in a grey car.
Police believe the violence started from something that happened earlier involving the teen and a dog in the Princess Avenue area. Investigators are still trying to figure out exactly what led up to the assault.
No one has been arrested so far. The St. Thomas Police Criminal Investigations Branch is going through security and dash cam video from the area, trying to identify witnesses and track down the two men.
Police say there is no reason to think anyone else is in danger. They are asking anyone who saw the assault, or who has video from Talbot or Moore streets between 3:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. that day, to come forward.
