St. Thomas, Ont. is set for a warm, sunny stretch on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, after stormy weather earlier in the month brought heavy rain to the area. Environment Canada says there are no weather alerts in effect and the city was seeing mainly sunny skies and 18.1 C at 1 p.m. Monday.
The forecast calls for more sunshine through May 31, with highs of 24 C on Tuesday, 27 C on Wednesday and temperatures staying in the low 20s into the weekend. Overnight lows are expected to stay in the single digits and low teens, which should make for comfortable evenings as the month ends.
The warmer weather comes after severe thunderstorms on May 19 prompted tornado warnings for London, St. Thomas, Woodstock and other southwestern Ontario communities. The storm system brought damaging winds, heavy rain and hail, and Western University’s Northern Tornadoes Project later confirmed east London damage was caused by an EF1 downburst, not a tornado.
With dry weather expected for the rest of the week, residents can count on a good stretch for outdoor plans, errands and yard work. Environment Canada says no precipitation alerts are in place right now.
