The St. Thomas & District Chamber of Commerce has brought back its Summer Fun Passport for 2026, giving residents a way to save money at local shops and services while exploring St. Thomas and Elgin County. The program launched on May 25 and runs until after Labour Day, offering discounts and freebies at a range of participating businesses.
Here is how it works: pick up a passport at any of the featured businesses, then collect stamps or signatures every time you use a deal. Once the summer wraps up, drop off your completed passport for a chance to win prizes. The Chamber says the passport is a simple way for families to cut costs and discover what local merchants have to offer.
Christy Hunking, the Chamber’s Chief Membership Officer, is the point person for the program. Residents looking for more information can reach her at [email protected]. The Chamber represents more than 600 businesses, non-profits, and charities across St. Thomas and Elgin County, and it regularly runs campaigns that encourage shopping local.
While the list of participating businesses was not immediately available, the Chamber directs people to its website or to contact Hunking directly for details. The program follows similar initiatives the Chamber has run in the past, such as holiday shopping guides, all aimed at keeping spending within the community.
The Chamber, located at 101 – 750 Talbot Street, has been a fixture in St. Thomas since 1869. Its Summer Fun Passport is one more tool to connect residents with the businesses that help shape the local economy.
