Ste. Anne families looking for a fun and active summer break for their school-age children can sign up for a week-long martial arts camp starting Monday, July 27, 2026. Hosted by Aethos Taekwondo Ste. Anne, the camp runs daily through Friday, July 31 at the Ste. Anne Curling Rink at 55 Arena Road.
The camp mixes taekwondo training with games, activities, and skill-building in a community-centered environment. Organizers say spaces fill quickly, so interested parents should register soon. Aethos Taekwondo, founded in July 2022, has quickly built a competitive reputation, including back-to-back second-place finishes in the UTSS Super Crown Series and 11 medals at a recent Poomsae tournament. This summer program is a newer offering that brings that energy to local youth recreation.
The curling rink, typically a winter sports hub, becomes a multi-purpose community space from April to September each year. Its availability during the off-season allows groups like Aethos to run daytime camps in a spacious, familiar town facility. The Town of Ste. Anne maintains the rink as part of its commitment to expanding recreational options for a growing population. The community grew from 2,114 residents in 2016 to 2,891 in 2021, a roughly 37 percent increase that has driven demand for more children’s programming.
This camp is the second of two summer weeks offered by Aethos, following an earlier July session. It gives local kids a chance to learn martial arts basics, stay active, and connect with peers in a supervised setting. Registration details are available on the Aethos Taekwondo website.
