The Town of Stonewall said on May 21, 2026, that two local businesses received the first approved grants under its new CRISP BOOST program, giving a boost to storefront improvements in Stonewall, Manitoba.
CRISP, short for Commercial Revitalization and Incentive Support Program, is a grant program meant to encourage private investment, support local entrepreneurs and strengthen the town’s commercial core. The BOOST stream is aimed at existing businesses that want to make visual and accessibility improvements to their storefronts.
One of the recipients is Flicks Cinema at 319 First Street East. The theatre reopened in September 2025 under new ownership after closing in December 2024.
The town said the grants are the first approvals under CRISP. The program was launched as part of Stonewall’s effort to support Main Street businesses and keep the town’s commercial area active.
