Stonewall’s biggest summer celebration is back this August as Quarry Days returns for another year with a weekend packed with live music, carnival rides, a parade, and fireworks. The festival runs Friday, August 14 through Sunday, August 16, 2026, drawing thousands of visitors to Main Street and Quarry Park in the town of about 5,000 people, just 25 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
The schedule kicks off Friday evening with a main stage concert sponsored by Access Credit Union. At 10 p.m., fireworks light up the sky near the arena, weather permitting. Saturday morning brings the parade at 11 a.m., starting on Main Street, which will be closed to traffic for the whole festival. The Wonder Shows midway opens all three days with rides and games for the whole family.
The Family Fun Zone at Memorial Park is a hub for kids’ activities, while the rest of Main Street fills with food trucks, a vendor market, a petting zoo, a car show, tractor displays, beer gardens, live music, and slow-pitch tournaments. The library’s annual book sale is also on the list.
Quarry Days has deep roots in Stonewall’s history. The town grew up around limestone quarries opened in the 1870s by S.J. “Stonewall” Jackson. Those quarries shaped the local economy for nearly a century until they closed in 1968. The festival highlights that heritage and has grown into one of the Interlake’s signature summer events.
Residents who want to get involved can sign up to volunteer, host a booth, or sell goods. Organizers say planning season is underway, and anyone interested can check the event website for details on how to join in.
