Seniors in Stonewall will enjoy a sweet summer afternoon on July 9, 2026, as the South Interlake 55 Plus group hosts its annual Strawberry Social. The fundraiser begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Oddfellows Hall at 374 1st Street West, offering strawberry shortcake and live music.
The event features entertainment by Tannis Tyler. Money raised will support the South Interlake 55 Plus Centre, a volunteer-driven charity that runs social, educational and health programs for older adults.
Advance tickets cost $12 each, but the deadline to buy them was July 3. Residents who got their tickets in time can look forward to the community gathering and the chance to support local programming.
From card games and monthly lunches to exercise classes and tax help, the organization relies on events like the Strawberry Social to keep its activities going.
