The Town of Sylvan Lake announced the change following server interruptions that impacted various internal municipal systems.
These technical issues have also caused delays in utility billing and related payments. The Tax Instalment Payment Plan, which allows property owners to pay their taxes through automated monthly bank withdrawals, was affected by the temporary system outage.
Participants are encouraged to monitor their bank accounts to ensure the funds for the May 5 withdrawal are available. While these payments have been delayed, the final property tax payment deadline for 2026 remains July 31 at 11:59 PM MDT.
